Somehow winning the White House is the ONLY way he can avoid prison. He MUST run. nt Atticus Nov 2022 #1

You nailed it. He's too thin-skinned to admit he's washed up. I hope he brings them all down. kysrsoze Nov 2022 #8

for a pardon in exchange for not running for President. That seems more likely now.

Typically you’d see a party slowly backing away from somebody like that, but if the GOP wants to self-destruct, fine by me.

1) He announced a "big announcement" Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He doesn't build up an event like that only for it to be a nothing-burger. (though of course he does announce some nothing-burgers like his plane got fixed up)

2) He needs the grift.

3) He needs to win 2024 in hopes of staying out of prison.

And I hope he and DeSatan eat each other and what’s left of their fascist base alive while they do it. They’re going to have to go so far right to win the primary a pivot back to the middle will be impossible. Then even more moderate Republicans will vote Democrat or not vote at all because their nominee will be just too extreme.

... great minds and all.

I think he'll still run because he thinks it will protect him from Garland...

Not sure his thinking process but I get the impression that he believes once he is a candidate he becomes untouchable by the law at any level.

He will soon find out he is wrong and the Repug party has cut off his legal fee payments.
