I think someone has provided him constructive criticism, and it is working.

18. I've given a lot of credit to the Prez

for learning certain things late in life. For example, his, let's say, affinity for tactile expressions with those around him. He stopped that in the 2020 campaign along with his meandering verbosity that used to get him into trouble. The flip side, I think, is now he stops himself to get back on script and it's assumed to be "dementia" by armchair pile-on judges. Me, I continue to be impressed with the guy.
