They think if he then loses, they'll be seen as the Wise Ones perfectly situated to influence the Democratic Party in the 2026 and 2028 elections.
Except if Trump wins there won't be 2026 and 2028 elections, or a Democratic Party.

(23,440 posts)Might be someone we're not talking even about in 2024. Which often is the case, such as Joe Biden in 2020. Oddly enough the former VP who didn't show well early in the cycle was an after thought. Obama wasn't heavily considered to have a chance in 2008. And of course, no one knew who the hell Carter or Clinton were.

(3,071 posts)There will be no doubt they should shoulder the blame if Trump is re-elected. If Biden does stay in the race and loses they will be quick to say they told us so totally ignoring the fact they torpedoed his re-election, because they couldn't keep their mouths shut and if Biden wins it will be crickets from them.
Think. Again.

(22,330 posts)Joe Biden is on track to win this thing.
He has a phenomenal staff and administration.
He has a solid campaign fund and strong donations.
He is the incumbent.
Playing games with all of that, when there is so much on the line, is blatant sabotage.

Idiots.
Go ahead, Dems. Follow Trump's lead. He's taking you down his favorite path. Smile when he knifes you in the neck.
