"In Philadelphia, 2024 Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris made her first joint campaign appearance with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), her vice presidential running mate. Vice President Harris toted the governor’s accomplishments in public service, including his 12 years in the U.S. Congress and years as a public school teacher. Gov. Tim Walz told supporters he, “couldn’t be prouder to be on this ticket.” His selection to be the vice president’s running mate came just two weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago."
