I don't see anything good coming from this.

The next time he says "let's nuke Mexico" it's just going to happen.

(16,623 posts)It's the way he operates, pits his advisers against each other just to watch the chaos. If some policy goes awry or gets bad publicity or is unpopular, whoever championed that idea will take the fall. Trump will say he doesn't know that person in the blink of an eye or support what they did.
The one thing Dems need to learn from the Harris campaign is how to troll Trump to manipulate him.
As for Congress. Senate Rs won't have McConnell as majority leader. He knew how to keep them united. McConnell's succssor won't have the same sway with their R colleagues.
Even with their current majority, the Rs can't govern. They've needed Dems to bail them out. Dems can govern with a slim majority, but the Rs have shown they can't because of the rwnj caucus.
As for Elon Musk and his task force on government, flattening the federal government management goes back a long way. In fact, it's what Al Gore's Reinventing Govt tried, unsuccesfully, to do.

(10,357 posts)We shouldn't do that. That's the point. Fuck them. We should not be voting or helping Republicans. That is NOT what people want. Nothing should have made that more obvious than this election.
It was unequivocally the most overtly racist and xenophobic and bigoted and misogynistic campaigns in modern history and they won.

(11,113 posts)I would have no problem with Biden pardoning Hunter. I would also provide Presidential pardon for every Republican, military officer, etc. that spoke against Trump to protect them from Trump. Think about granting each and every one of them a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
I think that Biden needs to spend the last of his Presidency trying to figure out what all they can to do protect whatever they can. Bury whatever he can. Then resign and let Kamala Harris become President and pardon Biden and whoever helps him set up whatever fire walls they can set up.
These are not normal times and Biden needs to take extraordinary efforts to try to do whatever he can in the end game. Time to take the SC ruling on Presidential immunity out for a spin and make the SC regret their decision.
I wonder if Biden can set up a blanket pardon for any Doctor providing reproductive care for women across the country for the remainder of his term. Or set up a hotline for Doctors to apply for that pardon as they are about to provide care.
If there is anything else to release on Trump and his family, make it public.
