from conservative men, and I was thinking, welp, conservative men are really going to find out what it was like living in the 1950s, because religious teachings required abstinence for single people. So, what conservative men have voted for, will mirror that aspect of the day.
What do you call that? Unintended consequences? Karma?
Conservatives will have a new quality to define them by: Never blue, except for their balls.
And here's the bonus: The next baby boom will result with more children being born to non-conservatives. Assuming young women stick to the plan.

(48,270 posts)Do all rapists end up being labeled as sex offenders? So, at least they will have to deal with the laws.
Ocelot II
(121,235 posts)because women are afraid to report it - either fearing retribution from the rapist, or knowing that they will have to go through hell to prove it; that they won't be believed, that they provoked it, or that they consented. It will be even worse with more conservative cops and judges. Why did E. Jean Carroll fear to report Trump's rape for 30 years? Rapists get away with it.

So glad I'm gay. When single, I could order sex like a pizza, and I didn't even have to know their name much less their politics.
So much better.

(3,039 posts)They live with the money. Women can be anything they say they are. Some will compromise for the money or an eternal life with Jesus if that is called conservative. . That being said we dont know much about women in general after this week. You cant tell by looking and she wont be saying! We got our final notice on Tuesday that we arent of value here. The one thing I dont get is between women, LGBTQ people, and black and brown people how in the devil are a handful of white guys holding us hostage. My best guess is seeding division among each group to keep them fighting each other. I see it here in squashing the ideas of others and I see it out here in videos of women admonishing each other. Things are beyond crazy. We are digging a very large grave!

(1,145 posts)God, that myth dies hard. Criminals like Joseph DeAngelo got off on murdering couples, you know, including "male protectors," by subduing the men, raping and torturing their girlfriend and wives while the "protectors" helplessly watched, and then killing them both. He wasn't unique; there are numerous examples of this. Often, the "protectors" are killed before the women are. Besides, the vast majority of murder victims in the US are men--79 percent of them--and almost always killed by other men.
Men don't protect women. They never have, they never will. They pose a greater danger to women if women date them, live with them, or marry them.
Those are just facts. It isn't women's "job" to arm themselves or restrict their movements. What that implies is women "ask for it" if they have the nerve to use public space, which is their right.

(48,270 posts)If a woman is being attacked, I would find it infinitely worse to see a progressive man walk away. "Oh, she'll just get offended if I help." The same if she's on a date and the man becomes boorish. If she can't shake him off, if she needs to flee the scene, we expect bystanders to step in to help. That's a sign of a civilized society.

(1,145 posts)Sure, packing a gun is going to "protect" you, when some dude comes from behind you, overpowers you, and uses the weapon against you.
"Stranger danger" is a tool by patriarchy to keep women in line by propagandizing they can't do anything alone and "need a male protector." Men don't protect women.

(3,039 posts)Even a man who has raped and beaten her before. The court doesnt automatically let a woman walk. Guns are rarely the answer to a problem.

(2,197 posts)They got what they wanted. Incels weren't getting laid anyway, so nothing changes there. And moderates and low info voters don't care either way. Liberal women are going to be the primary followers of this movement and I don't know many liberal women who hook up with conservative men, so I'm not seeing how this effects them.

(10,333 posts)The kind of people who would take part in this kind of movement - much less post on social media about it - were probably the kind of people who were already filtering their dating pool for politics.

(1,145 posts)I don't know why people continue to use a word that has long been hijacked by those on the radical right. They aren't about "conserving" or "preserving" anything.
These people have no idea how rotten the 1950s were, especially for women. The ONLY reason most married women were in the home was because they were FORCED out of the labor force following WWII to make way for the returning servicemen.
The 1950s were totally miserable, and the constricting way of life was the major reason the 1960s, meaning later in the decade, were so volatile.

On the other hand, all resistance has risk.
Good luck women everywhere.
Maybe have affairs with non-republican men.

(548 posts)liberal women want to punish this way, they very likely aren't dating. The liberal men they are in relationships with, why would you punish them? Sooo... liberal women punishing random men they're just hooking up with? M'kay. I seriously question everything about this plan, or lack thereof.

(19,654 posts)It's not "withhold sex from conservative men".
It's withhold sex from ALL men. No sex. No dating. No marriage. No children. Those are the 4 B's (in Korean). No exceptions.
The logic is that 1) men can't be trusted to display their true selves, so they could easily be covert conservatives pretending to be liberals or become more conservative after marriage, and 2) sex, even with birth control, can result in pregnancy, and pregnancy without access to basic health care (ie abortion) can be lethal. To maintain their safety, freedom and health, women simply sever any romantic ties with all men. Some enter romantic relationships with women, while others stay celibate the rest of their lives.
There will be no liberal baby boom, because single liberal women following 4B won't be having babies with ANYONE. In South Korea where it originated, the birth rate has cratered worse than anywhere else on the planet because of this.
The only ones breeding? The conservative men and women, and based on the election results, there are still plenty of women conservative enough to vote for Trump. Liberal men may turn to these women in desperation. Best case scenario, they make the women more liberal. Worse case scenario, the women make the men more conservative.
Frankly, the 4B movement sounds like an alternative beginning sequence to the movie Idiocracy. The smart liberal people stop breeding, and only the idiots are left to populate the planet.

(48,270 posts)South Korea has the second highest suicide rate in the world. Today, another celebrity took his life.
Maybe things are so bad there, that it is the reason why they take extreme measures to have an effect. I hope we don't wait until it gets any worse, here.
