6. Another bitter disappointment

Putting aside the fact I really liked him doing the 11th Hour, I thought he was supposedly real-life friends with historian Michael Bechloss, who has in no uncertain terms made his opinion of Trump crystal clear. So I guess the other commenters here on DU are probably right that this is another embarrassing act of genuflection by a media personality who fears he may be on Trump's enemies list.

Maybe we should have a thread here to celebrate the journalists and media folks who so far appear to be fearless, like Dean Obeidallah, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Michelangelo Signorile, Zerlina Maxwell, Jim Acosta, etc... Just to keep our spirits up.

7. More he is doing what always happens after an election

Every election year, there are people who find "what happened" totally informed by who won. Every decision or event is seen by who won.

Imagine Harris had won. He and others would have spoken of how a campaign of joy and hope for a calmer future beat out hate and retribution. ( Note reversing that will not be said because the accurate description of Trump does not reflect positively on America.)

So, he cites things that he sees in retrospect as problems of the campaign. Even Harris admitted she had a very short time to define herself. So that was obvious. The other might reflect that he was more in tune personally with Clinton's it's the economy stupid campaign. Knowing little of his biography, I wonder if Brian Williams came of age in the very privileged white, male, upper class. Being left leaning, he supported women and POC gaining power, but there might be times where he feels the party is leaving people like him behind
