This I'm almost certain was an article I read on-line around the mid 00's written possibly by a priest. Unfortunately, even as I remember it, and looking it up on line yet again(!) every several years - I've never found it.
The reason I attribute it to that time as well is I was learning computer digital art, and photography then, and I imagined a piece of digital art illustrating the article.
I'd had never heard of the word before.
The gist of the article talked about JFK's experiences, I think, particularly The Cuban Missle Crisis, and how on the pontential nuclear war brink - altered his thinking. He maybe had to approach the USA relationship with the then Soviet Union from a different, or at least an additional aspect. He changed from fully "Cold Warrior" to a more of a Peacemaker.
Anyone too young at the time (now, I was 9, but very smart, and living in?#2 target city [NYC], after DC I knew we were in terrible trouble, and yeah, watched the TV, maybe saw The [then Liberal] NY Post, or NYT front pages), or born later: we came kinda close to nuclear desstruction. A harrowing time!
That then was probably led eventually to him giving his American University speech about trying bring more peace in the war, working for the Test Ban Treaty, and trying also prevent accidental nuclear war with The Soviet Union.
I know it's waaaay water long under the bridge: but I think an important part of his Presidency, Legacy, and our USA History.
