(57,984 posts)You can keep your "Ho hum" not me. I'm mad as hell and will keep up the good fight.

(54,803 posts)I've done the writing and calling legislators for years and it's only gotten worse. The gun lobby has managed to shut down all opposition.
Even on DU we have gun lobby useful idiots - or actual troll shills - trotting out the idiotic argument of "it's not a magazine its a clip, and if you don't know that you can't have an opinion about better gun laws." They swarm and tell us cars kill more people than guns and effectively shut down all conversation. Even here, we can't even talk about it.
So what is the good fight these days?

(16,270 posts)Folks get tired of all the shootings in America. I dont read pfitz59s post in the way that you did- Im sure they didnt intend to sound callous- and youve called them an asshole.
Theyre a DUer. They are not a new DUer, and Id really hope that you would reconsider your personal attack.
It isnt cute. It is unkind. Youve been around long enough to know that what folks type can be misconstrued. Im sorry you dont feel the need to give a fellow DUer grace and hope you have a better day.
