'Dangerous time to be a child': Leading pediatrician deals major warning over Trump plan

By Brad Reed
Published January 13, 2025 8:41 AM ET

Paul Offit, a pediatrician who specializes in treating infectious diseases, has written an editorial in the New York Times hammering Trump Department of Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Offit begins his piece by objecting to media descriptions of Kennedy as a "vaccine skeptic," given that he isn't just casting skepticism of unproven vaccines but is making false claims about vaccines that have proven safe and effective for decades now.

"He claims that the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine causes autism despite more than a dozen studies performed in seven countries on three continents involving thousands of children showing that it doesn’t," Offit wrote.

And if anyone is so inclined : I am reading a book called ......

The Doctor That Fooled the World
by
Brian Deer

It really delves into what and how one doctor by Wakefield tried to link the measles virus with Crohn's disease and how the basic conspiracy of vaccination came about and yes RFK Jr is mentioned in the book on pages 8 and 354. And it also should be noted that he had a hand in what happened in Samoa and with the measles vaccination in the country

birth control and abortion.

You’re forced to bear a child.

If you don’t die yourself during pregnancy or birth, your child could die because of new Trump “health” policies.

they must all be in cahoots, but where Kennedy fits in seems like trump...frontman. When I think about the food in the middle of the grocery store, the corporations that grow the food, the ones that process, the chemicals used in the process, the drugs that are dealt legally as a result of humans imbibing that stuff, and the way doctors need the okay from the insurance biz to okay treatment, it really is stunning. They've got the whole shebang covered from the cradle to the grave. Food and Drug and all those industry's taking a piece of that pie.

Each cabinet pick specifically chosen for each department.

Yes good point, ripping off the American people starts from the cradle and goes to the grave.

Make as much money has possible and to hell with the death and destruction.

Our enemies picked a good front man.

But, I believe autism has been with us all along. It just wasn’t recognized as autism, it’s such a broad spectrum of characteristics. So many different manifestations that I think everyone would remember that kid you grew up with that was always a little odd. Just never quite fit in with the others. Too quiet, too shy, it may not have been shyness at all, but who knew back then what it was, no one questioned it.

Also been an increase in diagnoses of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and Dementia. Is it possible that all have the same root cause. Possibly a chemical exposure that occurred during different points in people lifetimes?

And it shows quite clearly in the young and old.

The toxins that surround us causes brain damage, seen most readily in the most vulnerable age groups.

Was exposed to weed killer before it became known as a real toxin. It made me dog sick for days but I didn’t know then, what I know about it now. I think a lot of us had exposure to different things. Growing up my bedroom was painted in lead based paint. I spent weekends helping my parents clean burlap bags that had held asbestos. We played with white lead balls that my dad brought home from work. I’ve wondered since then, just how damaged my own brain is. How much damage was done to my lungs.

All the pesticides, toxins, stuff we were exposed to.
We used to play with the mercury when a thermometer broke.
Yes lead paint, etc.

And also we had the childhood illness, viruses, bacterial stuff.
And then lots of antibiotics.

Big increase in allergies, which I think is not really due to the food or air,
but all the toxins in certain foods and locations.
The body can only take so much and then gets hypersensitive.

The cancer cases have risen dramatically now in young people.
So apparently they have it worse than we did!

Yes there has been an overall decrease in US IQ levels for a while now.

You can see it if you think about your grandparents or parents.
Some of our grandparents had only a high school education, but read the newspaper every day,
watched the evening news. Kept up with world events and elections.

Had pride, responsibility, took civic duty seriously.
Could read an entire book with no problem.
Could stay focused and contribute to conversations.
Could interact appropriately with others.
Were polite and well mannered. Shared values of decency, respect, doing the right thing.

We don't see that any longer.
It is like the frontal lobe has shrunk.

16. Autism is genetic

which has been demonstrated in a number of twin studies.

https://medschool.ucla.edu/news-article/is-autism-genetic

I'm autistic and so, to varying degrees are both my parents, my brother, at least one maternal aunt and uncle, at least two cousins and one of those cousins' kids.

Autistic people also have a distinct communication and relationship style which means, even when they are undiagnosed, they tend to be friends with and end up marrying other autistic people. Many of the clusters of autism diagnoses correlate with areas where their parents work in high tech industries that draw on autistic skills like Silicon Valley and the aerospace and tech industries in Seattle.

There are more diagnoses now because there is better awareness, the criteria have been expanded to also recognise how autism presents in women and because more people have the resources to seek a diagnosis and support for themselves and their children.

15. Correlation vs causation

Just an absence of the general population understnading the difference.

Several years ago I knew a lday telling me how vaccinations cause autism, she talked about how vaccines became more prevalent for school children and next thing you know we had all this autism. I replied, "Well, I think it was Happy Days, that show aired in the early to mid 80s and that coincides with autism too..."

And this person was not dumb, they're a smart person. Same with a guy I know who is an architect. He's super smart. But he was telling me that HFC caused autism.

Autism has been around for a long time, they changed the way they diagnose disorders in the 80s and 90s.
