They continue to lie about leadership and pushing R to get elected. If people don’t pay attention it could happen.

What you need to know: Thanks to a strong partnership with the Biden-Harris Administration, California’s response to the Los Angeles fires is even stronger with federal emergency funds and resources.

LOS ANGELES – Following President Biden’s afternoon briefing regarding the unprecedented Los Angeles fires, Governor Gavin Newsom today thanked the Biden-Harris Administration for its swift support for the state that is boosting response efforts and protecting thousands of Californians. The Governor met today with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell while on the ground in Los Angeles.

Yesterday in Santa Monica, Governor Newsom and President Biden were briefed by local and state emergency officials on the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires. Shortly after the briefing, President Biden quickly approved Governor Newsom’s request for a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration to support ongoing response efforts related to the major wildfires. Today, at the Governor’s request for more federal assistance, the President authorized increasing federal assistance to cover 100% of California’s fire management and debris removal costs for 180 days, up from the traditional 75%.

This declaration makes available federal funding to help state, tribal and local governments cover emergency response costs. It also includes Individual Assistance programs for affected citizens and businesses, which may include temporary accommodation and financial assistance for destroyed property. Californians can apply now for federal assistance at disasterassistance.gov.

FEMA gets an annual allocation. Legislature doesn't usually provide funds based on each disaster.

Also, Moses is being a prick, but that's not news. Let him suck up to IT. Guess he thinks that's his job.

As a Dem who lives five miles from the Palisades fire, I can tell you that Californians are infuriated by the vicious lies coming from Trump, Vance, Johnson, Faux News, Rick Caruso and their ilk. We're dealing with the worst tragedy in our lives and they're deliberately, gleefully making it worse. They're delusional if they think they'll gain anything from this. We won't forget.

First thing, I hope things improve quickly for you. Looks like a couple of more bad days ahead.

That being said, I think they will get away with it. With Fox News and social media constantly ripping on CA, you have to figure 75 million Americans hate California as run by Dems.

With that, they may continue to be complete asses and literally drive California out, not by their choice, but at some point enough of us will be fed up and tell the rest of the Country to fuck off.

I have done the math, I know how much money I donate a year to Red States, at some point there will be an event used to penalize CA and it could break apart the Nation.

After all, they elected the orange shitstain twice, didn't they?

Still, so many of us weren't born here. We've moved here from all over the country. We still have family and friends back home who call or text us everyday. They hear the truth from us, and they see the news footage of the volunteer turnout. I don't think they like seeing their loved ones getting kicked while we're down.

That said, we are also an economic powerhouse. I think someday they may feel our economic wrath rain down upon them. They are waking the sleeping giant.

We will not forget.

The news this week with all the Fox talking assholes has just made me want to throw my TV out the window. Seriously, did we cut off aid to Florida after Hurricane Helene? No. So why are they holding it against us? Fucking assholes.
