America's political systems, law enforcement systems, security agencies, parties, voters etc. have all failed massively

with regard to Donald J. Trump, who is both a consumer of tv culture and a symptom of tv culture, and in every case they have failed massively in his favor. Everyone from Democrats, to Republicans, to every agency, to the supreme court, to the benighted voters, to the complacent and complicit media, have laid down to this fucking fool, this rapist pedophile insurrectionist fascist racist piece of shit.

If you want to blame M. Garland, or McConnell, or Biden, or Obama, or whoever, it doesn't matter, this demon has glided through life forcing himself on everyone in his path, with zero consequences. As if he were the fabled Antichrist.

And now, the USA become a (n even more) corrupt oligarchy like the Russian state, with no visible or viable path back to democratic control, ruled by corrupt cronies who won't hesitate to use the vast killing machine we've built even on our own allies and our own citizens.

What a fucking debacle, and dishonor on everyone involved. Holy christ.

The 1929 Depression is now the next History remake.

The 1939-1945 world war remake stands just behind it but with tens of thousands of nukes in total on all sides.

And if these were not sufficient to burn it all, Climate Change will take care of the rest of this species.

Anyone know where this statement, Or something like it, came from?

Nero fiddled while Rome Burned???????

Seems pretty appropriate for the U.S. right now and in the near future....

Edit: never mind, found it: https://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Journals/CJ/42/4/Nero_Fiddled*.html

the entire Republican Senators, and House Members, Cabinet, advisers, State Governors, and sycophants, he surrounded him self with, should be in Colorado Supermax. Where the prisoners are removed from any and all contact with others that are imprisoned, and cut off entirely from any form of outside communication. (Except their attorney.) Left alone with their thoughts, where all meals are shoved through a slot in their cell door.

McVeigh got a plea bargain of life imprisonment for his Oklahoma Bombing, instead of the Death Penalty, and he was put there. Six months later, he appealed to the courts to issue a death sentence, saying Super Max was far worse than being dead......

His buddy Nichols? is still there, deliriously fantasizing that he can appeal the sentence, and change the fact that he will rot in his supermax cell until he dies...

they don't EVER want returning to society ,ever again. Nor being able to communicate with anyone except themselves.
It is one of the few prisons in the U.S., (or more likely, the ONLY prison in the U.S.) that a prisoner can't escape from, without argument.......

I think the absolute worst part for Trump, would be him having to clean himself and his toilet. They have no cleaning crew for the cells.
Nor do they have a shower in their cell......

Those imprisoned there are allowed absolutely NO communication of any form with the outside world. No internet, no cell phones, etc
The only humans they have contact with are the guards, and no one else. Their cells are soundproofed such that they can't even yell back and forth with other inmates.

It is quite literally "HELL ON EARTH", and with practically nothing in the cell to assist the prisoner in committing suicide with...........

Previous failures have mostly been partial and recoverable. This batch, not so much. Complete systemic failures have serious consequences, and these look like they're shaping up to be particularly severe.

We had a decent run going for a while, but we were too slow and ineffective in addressing our fundamental weaknesses and emergent flaws. Now the process has reached what looks like a messy end. I hope future civilization can learn from our successes as well as our mistakes to find ways to improve.

I could not agree more. This time around people knew exactly what they were voting for - an autocracy of millionaires and billionaires who detest democracy and whose actions are completely devoted to the maxim "He who dies with the most toys wins." They are already well on the way to turning the US into a banana Republic. I hope with all my heart that T***p voters get to feel every single awful consequence of their actions. They deserve only the worst.

It is their job to counter the lies. They failed. Between the normalization and the disingenuous both siderism, they are responsible for his return to power in my opinion. The lies leading up to the election should have been ceaselessly fact checked even if they were doing nothing but 24/7. Again, that is their job and they failed.

I blame the media for exaggerating his missteps and ignoring his successes. They "Dean screamed" President Biden to the maximum degree.

Usually it does not change in a positive way driven by those who look at a trend and give up.

Those who believe that what looks impossible to overcome is, in fact, impossible to overcome end up as footnotes to history. It's the difference between the Earl of Halifax and Winston Churchill.
