John Bolton Says He Knows 'Exactly' What Trump Will Do Next, And It's Frightening

HuffPost

John Bolton, former national security advisor to President Donald Trump during his first term in office, said it’s already clear where negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine are headed.

“I think we know exactly what’s gonna happen: President Trump has effectively surrendered to Putin before the negotiations have even begun,” Bolton told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

Trump on Wednesday said he spoke with his Russian counterpart, and the two agreed to start negotiations on ending the war, which began three years ago when Russia invaded its neighbor. Later in the day, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Russia should be able to keep some of the Ukrainian territory it has seized and that Ukraine should not become part of NATO.

Bolton called those concessions a “complete reversal of the U.S. position” and a major victory for Putin.

Does idiotic Trump just plan to give those to Putin because most of them are in areas occupied by Russia. It would seem to be far better for the US to have access to those than Russia.

pursue Putin's interests above those of the USA. I hope I live to see evidence of how Putin had this hold over him and that we will live in a country where it can be freely reported.

However, Ukraine now has the backing of countries in Europe. What I'm concerned about is F47 getting us into war to help Russia in one way or another. We are like sitting ducks with no one to help us because of an idiot sitting in the White House.

What scares me is that TSF may pull the US out of NATO, leaving the remaining members to face having to fight to protect Ukraine and themselves. And either the US will sit on the sidelines while Russia has its way. Or the US might side with Russia and help smash Europe.

-- Death or imprisonment for thousands upon thousands of Ukrainians
-- Beginning of WW III in Europe as Putin tries to restore the old Soviet Union's empire
-- The end of America's influence anywhere as our soon-to-be-former friends and allies turn away from us

History -- if any is written -- will not be kind to Trump and Musk nor to the Republican Party -- not one
Republican. And the Democrats who sat around wringing their hands won't fare so well either.

But they and other small nations are in huge trouble if TSF pulls the US out of NATO, as he probably will.

I hope your niece stays safe.

When you give him a little before the start, he will take those for granted and ask for more and more and more. No one thinks Trump will out maneuver Putin. Putin will dictate terms and Trump will stand by his side nodding his head fast and furiously.

The presidential election, and the corporate media and Congress went along with it, was the moment we all knew the surrender monkey was going to give Ukraine to the dictator Putin.

People who have a history of standing up to that dictator need to get out of Ukraine before Putin puts them in a remote artic penal colony or just murders them. Putin is not constrained by laws or morals and if you think he's going to fair, you are crazy.

Detailed in the proposal, as I understood it, was WE get Ukraines natural resources in exchange for them giving up the territory Russia has already taken. This is an old old Cold War mentality after WWII. Not only that, they totally bailed on NATO with this, make no mistake. The Europeans and the Ukrainians, like the Palestinian's, have not even been consulted about this as far as I can tell. The world is about to enter an age of instability not seen since the 50's and 60's because that's the mindset here now in our government.

Based negotiations between Trump and Putin.

What leverage does the US have other than withholding aid, which it appears Trump plans to do anyway?

Western Europe has already indicated it will pick up that slack.
