https://www.yahoo.com/news/not-grandmother-easter-egg-roll-120052116.html"The White House, through an outside event production company called Harbinger, is soliciting corporate sponsors for this years Easter Egg Roll, which is prompting major concerns from ethics experts and shock from former White House officials from both parties.
The sponsorship offers range from $75,000 to $200,000, with the promise of logo and branding opportunities, according to a nine-page document sent to potential sponsors according to a nine-page document sent to potential sponsors and obtained by CNN.
....
But the solicitation for sponsorships marks an unprecedented offering of corporate branding opportunities on White House grounds running counter to long-established regulations prohibiting the use of public office for private gain.
....
Sponsors of WHEER [White House Easter Egg Roll] provide financial support, activities, and giveaways to enhance the event while gaining valuable brand visibility and national recognition, reads the document.
Among the offerings for prospective sponsors: Naming rights for key areas or elements, Sponsor logos featured on event signage, Custom-branded baskets, snacks/beverages, or souvenirs, Mentions in official event communications and social media posts, Acknowledgment in printed or digital event programs, and Inclusion in press releases and media interviews. Sponsors can also gain access to an invite-only brunch hosted inside the White House by FLOTUS, tickets to the event, and a private White House tour.
...
Upon viewing the pitch document, Richard Painter, who served in the White House Counsels Office under President George W. Bush, told CNN that it wouldnt have gotten through Counsels Office.
That would have been vetoed in about 30 seconds in my day, he said. Were not running this like a football stadium where you get all logos all over the place for kicking in money. ....(more)

Skeezy GOP Grifters have no honest claim on Christ or Easter.

(15,811 posts)as Ambassador to the European Union?
https://19thnews.org/2025/01/andrew-puzder-trump-eu-ambassador-pick-abuse-allegations/
"President Donald Trump picked Andrew Puzder, who withdrew from a Cabinet nomination in Trumps first term after spousal abuse allegations surfaced, as his ambassador to the European Union.
Trump nominated Puzder, the former chief executive of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Carls Jr. and Hardees, to be the secretary of labor in 2017. He called him a successful attorney, businessman, economic commentator, and author, when announcing the nomination Wednesday on Truth Social.
Puzder is the latest second-term Trump nominee who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment or gender-based violence. The position of U.S. ambassador to the European Union is subject to Senate approval. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Shortly after his nomination, news outlets resurfaced a 2004 lawsuit that accused Puzder of sexually discriminating against, harassing and wrongfully terminating Caroline Leakan, a former CKE vice president of investor relations. The lawsuit appears to have been settled out of court, Capital & Main reported at the time, with the company and Leakan citing a confidentiality agreement in not discussing the case.
Separately, in the late 1980s, Puzders ex-wife Lisa Henning, now Lisa Fierstein, filed documents alleging physical abuse, including beatings around the neck and body, as part of her 1987 divorce from Pudzer. She dropped the charges as part of a child custody agreement in 1990 and signed a legal document saying: All allegations of abuse of any kind were made in the context of divorce proceedings. I fully withdraw these allegations.
