Photos put Tuberville in Trump's hotel on Jan. 5 despite denying meeting

labama Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville through a spokeswoman Tuesday denied meeting with the then-director of the Republican Attorneys General Association and others inside Trump’s private residence at the Trump International Hotel on Jan. 5 — on the eve of the deadly U.S. Capitol attack.

But a photo posted to social media appears to show Tuberville in the hotel’s lobby that day, and a company CEO in a separate post describes meeting with Tuberville and others at the hotel that day and discussing “illegal votes.”

Charles W. Herbster, who was then the national chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Advisory Committee in Trump’s administration, in a Facebook post at 8:33 p.m. on Jan. 5 said that he was standing “in the private residence of the President at Trump International with the following patriots who are joining me in a battle for justice and truth.”

Among the attendees, according to Herbster’s post, were Tuberville, former RAGA director Adam Piper, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, adviser Peter Navarro, Trump’s 2016 campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and 2016 deputy campaign manager David Bossie.

If he thought what they were doing was appropriate and legal he wouldn’t feel compelled to lie about his presence there. Consciousness of guilt.

Tommy's is looking to move up in the Republican hierarchy, and is trying to ingratiate himself with Trump as a means of positioning himself for favors.
Like so many other Republicans elected lately, he a bit short when it comes to honesty, integrity, and respect for the constitution and the Republic.
His presence at that meeting could be his downfall.

I mean Rudy called Mike Lee by mistake, he wanted to call Tuberville to slow down the verification of electoral votes. How much evidence do we need to get a special prosecutor or 2?

To put your treason meeting on film. Seriously???? This isn't close circuit cameras. This is a posed picture for social media -- you know where the record of it lasts forever on the internet.

I can just imagine the guys who worked for Giuliani when he was taking down organized crime, watching and taking pictures to prove people were there and who was lying about being there just shaking their heads.

"You mean these dumb palookas actually take the incriminating pictures themselves and then post it for everyone to see so you don't even need a warrant to prove they are lying. Unbelievable"

So this is either the height of stupidity or the height of arrogance to think that their stunt was certain to work. Because as Ben Franklin reportedly said "It is never our treason. If we win it isn't treason"

If the attackers had succeeded in capturing or harming any Congress members, then President Trump would have been compelled to invoke the sweeping powers of the Insurrection Act. Never mind that he himself had fomented the insurrection.
