Trump plans to fire Jack Smith's team, use DOJ to probe 2020 election

Source: Washington Post

President-elect Donald Trump plans to fire the entire team that worked with special counsel Jack Smith to pursue two federal prosecutions against the former president, including career attorneys typically protected from political retribution, according to two individuals close to Trump’s transition.

Trump is also planning to assemble investigative teams within the Justice Department to hunt for evidence in battleground states that fraud tainted the 2020 election, one of the people said.

The proposals offer new evidence that Trump’s intention to dramatically shake up the status quo in Washington is likely to focus heavily on the Justice Department, the nation’s premier law enforcement agency, and that at least some of his agenda is fueled not by ideology or policy goals but personal grievance.

Asked about Trump’s plans to fire prosecutors on Smith’s team and investigate the 2020 election, a Trump spokeswoman echoed the president-elect’s frequent claim that the Justice Department cases against him were politically motivated.

“President Trump campaigned on firing rogue bureaucrats who have engaged in the illegal weaponization of our American justice system, and the American people can expect he will deliver on that promise," press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. "One of the many reasons that President Trump won the election in a landslide is Americans are sick and tired of seeing their tax dollars spent on targeting the Biden-Harris Administration’s political enemies rather than going after real violent criminals in our streets.”

FM: United States Department of Justice
TO: President-for-Life Donald J. Trump
SUBJ: Results of the Department of Justice investigation into the 2020 presidential election
DTG: 011500 April 2027

1. In January 2025, the Office of the President of the United States led by President-for-Life Donald J. Trump directed this agency to investigate the 2020 presidential election.

2. This office spent $114 million and utilized the talents of 340 expert criminal investigators over the period 21 January 2025 to 28 February 2027. During this period all investigations into interstate felony offenses, money laundering, terrorism and illegal immigration were suspended to focus on President-for-Life Trump's directive. The results were then analyzed and compiled into the report we present today.

3. The results of the investigation follow.

19. About the 2020 election
Fri Nov 22, 2024, 08:38 PM

I don't know what anyone means about "investigating the 2020 election."

I'm the chairman of the Electoral Board in a rural Virginia county -- VA has 133 "localities", each locality is a county or a city and each has a General Registrar and an Electoral Board.

I don't know but I assume every state has a similar organization.

On election night, all documents from the election are returned from the precincts to the Registrar's office. All documents are in heavy cardboard boxes or heavy manila envelopes, sealed.
-- used ballots
-- unused ballots
-- tally tapes from voting machines (two copies sealed in envelopes, one copy unsealed to be kept for public inspection)
-- ballot count form (how many ballots to start the day; how many issued; how many cast, spoiled, voided, provisional; how many remaining)
-- and on and on and on.

All the sealed boxes and envelopes go to the Clerk of the Circuit Court where they are sealed in her vault and cannot be removed without a court order. The records from state and local elections are held for 12 months then shredded. The records -- including the ballots -- from federal elections are held for 24 months then shredded. Paper records of the 2020 election no longer exist.

I'll bet every other state is the same. So -- how do we investigate the 2020 election? Unless, of course, Trump wants to claim the normal, mandated shredding of ballots is proof of a cover-up. Which is exactly what he will claim and which is exactly what the goobers will believe.

Billionaires who've supported the Democratic Party will make hiring them and keeping them secure a top priority.

Jack Smith and his family should be back in the Hague by the New Year, where he can archive all case material the Hague could use for any future warrant on Trump if he does any retaliatory harm to Americans, or even commits crimes against humanity over his immigrant deportation crap. Even if the U.S. isn't a signatory to the I.C.C. I wouldn't even put it past Garland and Joe Biden to help Jack Smith and the whole Special Counsel team in some back channel way.

All the judges who made over 1,000 convictions deserve to get and will likely get upgraded security for themselves and their families.

Just let anything happen to any judges, Special Counsel lawyers or their families and watch how white hats find the perpetrators without even being asked.

whose dreams of making it big in the "New World" consisted of owning some kind of hotel and brothel arrangement in Alaska.

Exactly the kind of person who would place a bogus coat of arms at his golf club in Mar del Merde.

Wikipedia:

Born and raised in Kallstadt, Germany, in what was then the Kingdom of Bavaria, Trump immigrated to the United States in 1885. In 1891, he began speculating in real estate in Seattle. During the Klondike Gold Rush, he moved to the Yukon and made his fortune by operating a restaurant and a brothel for miners in Whitehorse.

Trump Copied Another Family's Coat Of Arms

By
Akbar Shahid Ahmed

May 29, 2017, 05:44 PM EDT
Updated May 29, 2017

WASHINGTON ― President Donald Trump’s company, the Trump Organization, is marking golf properties and related products in the U.S with a coat of arms that belongs to a different family, after being barred by British authorities from doing so in the United Kingdom, according to a New York Times report on Sunday.

The Trump emblem is a nearly exact copy of the crest Britain granted to American diplomat Joseph Edward Davies in 1939. There’s just one tweak: where the original featured “integritas,” the Latin word for integrity, the president’s version substitutes, inevitably, the name “Trump.”

The billionaire developer appears to have begun using the coat of arms after he bought the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in 1985. The property was being run by a foundation set up by Davies’ third wife, cereal-company heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Davies’ grandson, former Sen. Joseph D. Tydings (D-Md.), told the Times Trump never asked for his permission to adopt the crest. The corrupted version of the emblem is now used on a range of Trump products ― even body wash.

Trump Files: When Donald Ran Afoul of Ancient Scottish Heraldry Law

Tim Murphy
National Corresponden

When Donald Trump was trying to pitch the Scottish government on a new $1.2 billion golf course and coastal resort near Aberdeen in 2008, he gave away swag emblazoned with the official Trump family coat of arms—an ostentatious gold floral pattern surrounding a helmet atop a shield with three lions and two chevronels (the inverted V pattern that is a fixture on police and military uniforms).

But there was one problem: There was no official Trump family coat of arms. His mother is Scottish, but the Trump surname is German. And that meant Trump was in violation of an ancient Scottish heraldic law dating back to 1672, which prohibits unregistered coats of arms. According to the Telegraph, a shield costs £900 to register, and you pay an additional £1,300 for special features like a crest and a helmet, both of which graced Trump’s coat of arms.
