Five Shot at School in Sweden, Operation Ongoing

A shooting has been reported at a school in Sweden, with a large police presence at the scene.

At least five people are reported to have been shot at around 1pm local time at Riskbergska School in Orebro, 125 miles west of Stockholm.

Police spokesperson Lars Hedelin told local media there was an active, life-threatening situation. Police warned the public to stay away from the school.

"The public is urged to stay away from the Västhaga area, alternatively stay indoors in their homes... The operation concerns threats of deadly violence. The operation is still ongoing," a statement on Sweden's national police website said.
