Iran's supreme leader rejects negotiations with Trump as 'not rational, intelligent or honorable'

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday rejected the idea of holding talks with the Trump administration, saying that experience had shown it was “not rational, intelligent, or honorable” to do so.

“Negotiations with America do not solve any of our problems,” Khamenei said in a speech Friday, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.

Khamenei’s comments came after Trump on Wednesday indicated a willingness to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran “immediately.” Days earlier, the president renewed his “maximum pressure” campaign on Tehran, signing an executive order aimed at preventing it from obtaining nuclear weapons and eliminating its oil exports.

“We will see whether or not we can arrange or work out a deal with Iran," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

I am not sure, and I don't really care, which one of the two is more "'not rational, intelligent or honorable'". Thee distinctions would be superficial at best in any event.

On these grounds, however, the two sides may actually have enough in common to conduct negotiations, if for no other reason than to establish who the bigger dick is, for all the world to see.

9. Not sure about this. No reports of Khamenei's manhood (or absence thereof) that made it to the press.

As far as his intelligence, Iran just lost two of its proxies they invested in the most. Literally billions of petro-dollars down the shitter. And they lost Syria. And they are on the verge of its effort to derail the Abraham accords, the most existential issue for Iran, going the same way.

Khamenei is the biggest loser in the ME today. He is in no position to dictate the terms. Not anymore.

I wouldn't exactly call it intelligent. But as I said, it is a dick measuring contest (figuratively speaking, of course) so it remains to be seen who of the two is the bigger (or in this case smaller) dick.
