Trump to announce reciprocal tariffs as early as Friday, sources say

Source: Reuters "Exclusive"

WASHINGTON, Feb 7 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump told Republican lawmakers that he plans to announce reciprocal tariffs as early as Friday, three sources familiar with the plans told Reuters.

The move would fullfill a Trump campaign promise to impose tariffs on American imports equal to the rates that trading partners impose on American exports. It was not immediately clear which countries would be affected since details of the proposal were not known.

Trump told Republican lawmakers of his plans during budget discussions at the White House on Thursday, the sources said. Trump and top aides have said they plan to use higher tariffs on foreign imports to help pay for extending Trump's 2017 tax cuts. {emphasis added}

If push comes to shove, Canada will impose tariffs on Kentucky bourbon, among many other things. I am not aware of any significant bourbon industry in Canada for tRump to reciprocally tax. Facetious of me, I know, given how much TrumPain his trade war will cause on both sides of the border.

will be remembered in American History. I think there's an even chance he'll be laughed off the topic by April.

Dark pools of money went short last night.
They will go long after-hours the night before he cancels these tariffs...
Rinse and repeat.

that the felon-in-chief is going to repeatedly say or do things that send the market into a tailspin before some billionaire tells him to knock it off and he retracts or reverses course.

He's impulsive, and reckless, but he'll listen to the billionaires.

Accidentally, that's a lock. But deliberately, no.

Now, him manipulating his own meme coin, sure. But that's different.

I don't know about that. He thinks he is smarter than anyone alive.

He's gearing up to fuck with the Federal Reserve. That may not go well for him.

It is a Pattern, somone (from DU) posted this, I copied the text (should have gotten the authors name) But it is very clear:

- Bros short the market
- TFG announces tariffs
- Markets crash overnite
- Take profits, buy at low
- Announce progress on tariffs
- Markets skyrocket
- Take profits at high

Market Manipulation, clear as a bell. Look for patterns. As soon as I heard Trump was going to announce some new thing on Friday, this is where my mind went.
