There was no mandate for Trump. There was no red shift. There was only a blue abandonment

The real mandate is for Democrats to stand for a fairer economy.

Friends,

Trump is saying the election gave him a “very big mandate.”

Rubbish. It wasn’t a mandate at all. It wasn’t even a “red shift” to Trump and the Republicans.

It was a blue abandonment.

We now know that nine million fewer votes were cast nationwide in 2024 than in 2020.

Trump got about a million more votes than he did in 2020 (700,000 of them in the seven battleground states). That’s no big deal.

The bigger news is that Harris got 10 million fewer votes than Biden did in 2020 (400,000 fewer in the battleground states).

Harris campaigned hard in the battlegrounds, so her erosion from Biden’s vote there wasn’t nearly as much, proportionately, as it was everywhere else across the country.

Many years ago I had hoped the party would participate in more local radio and now podcast messaging. It seems that although many were not satisfied with where they stood economically if we could have pushed through the GOP noise machine, we could have had a better shot at keeping them and winning back their trust.

5. Millions of Biden Voters Stayed Home

If millions of 2020 Biden voters stayed home in 2024, we certainly need to talk to them.
Find out what went wrong.
Make sure it doesn't happen again....

I agree w you about the mysterious Starlink satellite Trumps quoted remarks about having all the votes he needs
but I'm also in awe of the complacency of our Party who's doing anuthing about it???.
Not a peep from Kamala but goodbye, Joe shook hands w the devil, Jack Smith & company bailed and Trump goes on his merry way.
The only person I saw speak out was Elizabeth Warren, but no one seems to want to back her.

Here I am on this site looking for hope but I find none.

Now I hear that Dems stayed home instead of voting, if thats true, they know better & they in fact, also put Trump in.
But I tend to believe Musk & Putin masterminded this election, and Dems in power stood by and did nothing to protect us.

I'm lost and terrified, does anyone know what living under a Fascist ruled Govt is like?
I'm going down fighting., their not taking my Social Security that I worked my life for.
What happened to all the concern about Abortions? Nothing said, about fighting back.
Nothing said, nothing in the news about the GOOD vote in Missouri, a red state, that won abortion rights and minimum wage increase. Is Joshing Hawley really going to be Governor of Missouri?

11. And absentee ballots never delivered, and extra rules imposed

FIVE attempts to get 3 ballots for 3 family members..plus three more attempts by our one expat to submit his vote…

Outcome from EIGHT attempts:
-zero absentees counted because 4 out of 5 were never received, and 1 was delivered the night before election but out of state
-one person voted by flying home to vote in person
-one was able to vote on 3rd attempt as an expat

No one should say it’s because dems didn’t show up.

I’ve seen no comparison of unreturned absentees and provisionals, compared to previous elections.
