Climate crisis at 'new level of seriousness' says Al Gore - BBC News

The global climate crisis has reached an “entirely new level of seriousness”, climate advocate Al Gore said.

The former US vice president said that a summer of climate change-related disasters showed that scientists have been proven correct, and that “we should pay more attention to what they are warning.”

He claimed that “the fossil fuel industry has turned out to be way better at capturing politicians than at capturing emissions”, after UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced plans to weaken key green policies.
