....and this is what it came up with.

**Twas the night before voting, when all through the town,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a clown.
The ballots were nestled all snug in their slots,
In hopes that their counts would be fair—no afterthoughts.**

**The candidates hustled, with banners held high,
Each promising change as the banners did fly.
With visions of progress and dreams in their eyes,
They rallied their voters, aiming for prize.**

**When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my couch to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I peeked with great care,
And saw all the candidates, brains full of flair.**

**The moon on the pavement gave light to the scene,
Of volunteers bustling and working as a team.
With signs and with flyers, they pounded the pavement,
In hopes that tomorrow would bring their amazement.**

**When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a diverse group of hopefuls, spreading good cheer.
With visions of unity, holding hands tight,
They proclaimed their agendas, both earnest and bright.**

**“Now vote for your neighbor! Now vote for your friend!
On democracy’s wings, let the good times ascend!
To the polls we will march, with our voices so strong,
For change is a tapestry we weave, not a song.”**

**So gather your family, your colleagues, your kin,
For democracy’s a dance, and it’s time to begin.
Raise up your voices, let your choice be clear,
For the future is shaped by the votes that we steer!**

**Twas the night before voting, the energy high,
With hope in our hearts, let our dreams touch the sky.
No matter the outcome, come morning’s first light,
We stand together, united, ready to fight.**
