(92,819 posts)7. There are two kinds of sheep. Wool sheep and hair sheep. The coat of a wool sheep is water-proof (to a point).
The hair sheep is not so lucky. They can catch a chill and get sick from the rain.
Still, even the wool sheep can become drenched if it remains in the rain/wet too long, which can lead to illness.
