I like your flattened perspective and your pencil notes as part of the painting. It makes it quite charming. And your inclusion of other subjects like the plants and the lit sconse and background color make your still life exciting. You’re painting much more than the table setting and the food. You’re painting a ambiance and a mood.

having studied it much. I do think I got the mood down pretty well, and the owner saw the pic and liked it.
