(53,410 posts)I live alone and dont use the dining room so Ive converted it into my studio. I use the table as my work table pushed up against the wall to make space for the easel. All my drawings are on the walls.

(53,410 posts)but never one of my own. Ive been commissioned a few times. But I dont pursue it anymore. Too many bad experiences. Now that Im retired Im quite happy just doing my art just for arts sake.

(53,410 posts)It was the perfect time to draw his portrait because he was very still and completely unaware of himself.
Its not the same when you draw in figure drawing groups with a live model. Because their poses are so long, and there is silence, they tend to look very detached.

Even Ansel Adams said that for every good photo he took he threw away dozens that didnt work.
