1. Love this. There aren't many of those original Art Deco entrances left. 86 remain and they

are classed as monuments now.

2. Oh, I know! I love Art Nouveau and Art Deco. I knew when I wanted to do a piece

to remember the metros, this stop was the one.

7. I see it now. Abbesses. I used that one last time I was in Paris, to visit Sacre Coeur!

12. I am not sure if I used it or not, we went to so many places in Paris. All the must-sees, at least

from the outside.

8. I love the Paris Metro.

It’s such an efficient way to get around because of the “spider web” design. The metro in the DC area wasn’t like that - you couldn’t interconnect from one lone to another.

The first time I was i Paris, I was especially intrigued by the metro stops that had the maps that would light up to show you the route you needed.

10. The Metro was the closest I got to the L'ouvre. The stop looked gorgeous, at least. The DC metro

was scary. That rickety wooden escalator!

14. Some of the DC Metro stations are really deep...

...underground, and the escalators seem to descend forever.

The Moscow Metro is amazing. Many of the stations/stops are breathtakingly beautiful - like being in a museum or art gallery. Stained glass, sculptures, mosaics, paintings, and chandeliers. Here is a linK to a video tour:

In Chicago, it's called the Metra, which never sounds right to me. Needs to end with an "o."

11. Thank you! The letters were tricky. My little brushes that have enough snap for the job don't hold

much paint, and I hate the surprise water beads that splash down at the worst times. LOL

You have to be really careful or you’ll ruin everything!
