Artist Paints Herself On Windows To 'Trick' Others

Korean artist Hyemi Cho paints herself on windows, to ‘trick' people into thinking that she is waving at them.

Cho has turned her fear of losing her privacy when the new section of New York City’s highline opened near to her apartment, into fun art that makes passers-by smile and laugh.

After imagining herself cautiously peeking through her curtain looking outside, Cho thought to herself: “I am a painter. Why don’t I paint the reality of life and put it out to the public”.

“In this way, I would (re)solve the restriction of my freedom and my frustration of this invasion of my privacy,” says Cho whose success has prompted her to paint other buildings along the Highline.
