Usually depictions of the people in carnivals are unsettling but this one is very light and lovely in its own way. The birds give it a daytime, airy atmosphere. The central figures, usually portrayed as strange constructs in drawings and paintings of carnivals look happy here, together, connected.

Your simple pen lines give everything you do an open lightness. It’s a compelling linear style and gives your work a special charm in everything you do. It’s serious drawing but done in a way that is playful. It brings to mind the fun when I was a child of seeing drawings that were magical like this one is.

I hope you’re keeping all your drawings in folders so they don’t get messed up. Also spray some fixative on them so they always look good, even decades later. Your drawings are really nice!

They lean on each other and hold each other up. It makes me feel good. Thanks.
