for a building with the bell tower and the large arched windows, all in a moody gray. The backlight of the glowing night sky and the angled perspective make it look eerie and somber. The church looms over the viewer with it’s cold stone exterior and black windows. The way you lit it with your car’s headlights was a stroke of genius.

You’ve discovered the many values of night lighting and now you’re painting nightscapes which is a very rare thing in painting. You show us that night puts a very different value on trees, buildings and sky. Colors, as we perceive them with our inner eye structures, change and become shades of grey. Light has a different effect on objects and you capture all of this. You show us that night, with it’s limited light is also fascinating to look at.

The things you choose to paint are all very interesting and give a bit of an insight into what your creative journey is.

Thanks!
