It's interesting that the clothes are much more delineated. The others have softer folds. Perhaps it's in an effort to create depth or return the viewer's eye to the painting.

Pictured: a pentimento (a visible trace of an earlier painting) of the serving boy on the left can be seen behind the gold-robed apostle with Titian's face — the boy was later repainted to appear in the doorway instead
