George Clooney shows support for SAG-AFTRA strike

Daily Mail link: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12300617/George-Clooney-shows-support-actors-strike-negotiations-break-down.html

Among their demands, the actors are asking for higher wages and protection from technology that could be used to alter their images or performances without their permission or pay.

Striking writers are also asking for more pay, protection from AI generated scripts and higher streaming residuals, among other items. It is the first time actors and writers have participated in simultaneous strikes since 1960.

A schedule of picket lines indicated strikers would show up with their signs and bullhorns at the gates of Warner Bros, Amazon Studios, Fox Studios, Paramount Pictures, Netflix, Disney and Sony Studio Friday in Los Angeles. HBO/MAX, Warner Bros, Paramount, Netflix and NBC Universal were picketed in New York.

Actors are supporting this big-time because they realize it's their fight too.

Ken Jennings as far as I know, has never worked in a movie, so perhaps he never had the opportunity to join SAG. But this is pure speculation on my part.

He lives in Salt Lake City, am I right? Maybe he's an ultra-conservative and anti-union.
I don't know. Maybe he's decided it's not his fight.

Their contract is up. The writers have been out for over 2 months.
