(3,131 posts)There is an excellent guitar program at the University of Arizona and one of their doctoral or master students might be what you need. David Russell and the Assad brothers give master classes there. Could that work?

If interested there is contact info. I am sure they will respond. They arent connected to the guitar program but they work with the director in putting together the concerts and the festival.
I have no connection to either but have been to their concerts. I have no idea what it takes to arrange something like this but they do.

Here is one of the doctoral candidates at the university Misael Barraza-Diaz, from a recital last fall. There's something like 37 minutes of dead time at the beginning so just jump that far in to the start. He is phenomenal. I missed that concert so thanks for giving a prod to watch it.

We really are lucky to have such a great program locally. We get international stars performing and teaching and incredible talent in the program. They are all incredibly nice people too.
