I plan to do that this weekend. I've got a class all weekend at my favorite quilt shop.

One of the things I love about visiting my sister the quilter is when she shows me her fabrics, tells me what she's going to do with them, describes the projects she has in mind.

Us yarn people are the same. I love to pull out my yarns, fondle them, think about what I might make from them, revel in the touch and feel.

I really feel sorry for those who have no connection with crafts at all.

say the same about yarn-ers...

I've got a huge stash still, even after giving away a good portion of it.

The other day I found a skein of yarn out in my shed.

Purple lightweight sport. I felt it and squished the skein, imagining what I could make with it.

I love feeling the stuff...smelling it...stroking my face with it.

Just ordered a knit patchwork afghan kit from Herrschners the other day. Because, you know...a home can never have too many afghans...
