Uriah Heep Announce Farewell Tour: 'Who Can Believe Next Year is 55 Years Since the Band Started'

"Over the next two to three years, we intend to play as many places as possible and see you all for the one last time."

Uriah Heep has announced its farewell tour.

Mick Box, the band's last surviving original member, released a video message on YouTube on Friday, September 20th. In the short message, Box revealed that Uriah Heep will be going on its final tour. He stated:

"Who can believe next year is 55 years since the band started, and that's just so amazing. I know many of you have been with us since the beginning, and we do thank you for that. It means the world to us."

"Unfortunately, we have made the decision to wind down touring the whole world next year under the title of 'Magician's Farewell'. In fact, The Magician's Farewell."

Uriah Heep along with Spooky Tooth in my opinion should be in the Rock Roll Hall of Fame.............

I saw Uriah Heep with Manfred Mann in 1974..............and in my humble opinion was one of the best shows I ever saw along with 22,060 fans and Mick Box is one hell of a guitar player..............

I met with Mick a couple times.
He was married to our soundman's cousin. When he toured the US, he'd stop to see her family.
He even came to see the band one night. Because he was there, we did Stealin' & Easy Living and they were never on our setlist. We just decided to wing it. He was smiling ear ti ear.
He is a nice guy. But, he has to be in his mid to late 70s now. Time to step aside, I guess.
