They are famous in their own right. I think I read thst Steven Tyler (lead singer) is retiring this year.

The Stones are, to this day, still connected to their blues origins.
Aerosmith is a much harder edge band, even their ballads.

For one thing, there's harpsichord on it, so I have to dig that.
But, there are also some really tasty guitar riffs by Joe Perry, especially toward the end.
I consider it a seminal power ballad.
