I think he was still Zehringer in the McCoys.
I had read that The McCoys only sang on the record with the band that wrote it playing the instruments.
We saw Rick in Cyndi Lauper's band on the True Colors tour.
He handled a lot of the harmonies. He was always a really good singer.

2. This was our class song in high school, the previous class got the cooler song, Louie. Louies. Bastards ...

... Derringer has always been a go to axeman. Extremely under rated.

5. There Are Cheaper Models, But...

...the original models are still very much in demand. Hence, the price.
They were made of a graphite/carbon fiber composite so the were light but rigid.
I finagled a ticket to NAMM Chicago one year, and went by the Steinberger booth.
Their demo was a guy standing on a scissor oift about 12' up. He was playing, then he unplugged and dropped the guitar to the floor. A guy on the floor, picked it up, plugged in and the thing was still in tine!
It also had a super vibratory unit with separate tensioners for each string so the could be set to keep the strings in tune while dropping an entire 5th.
Gibson bought them a long time ago, then sold off the label so the newer models are 1/12th of the price, but they're not special like the old ones.
