Obscure Bird Grasshopper

Large and colorful, there is nothing obscure about it. The colors on the grasshopper do allow it to blend well on flowers, however.
It is in the family of short-horned grasshoppers because it does have short antennae for a grasshopper its size.

Its Tibia tucked behind its Femur. Tibia has the black and yellow spike-like protrusions.

3. I spotted his smaller buddy first, but he flew off.

The bigger one didn't much care what I was doing. He was busy eating my flowers.
