This Californian had the pleasure to visit Happy Valley in October of 1993. The fall colors were simply stunning and I'll never forget it.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. That picture is a song about it. Thank you for posting that fine photograph, Mousetoescamper.

But you make me want to go to Longwood gardens. And it’s doable! Thanks, mousetoes!

You've likely already checked the website, but it might be helpful to have it posted here: https://longwoodgardens.org/

Longwood will soon open its Reimagined project. The gardens will be closed after 1 PM today and all day tomorrow for a private preview of the project. As an annual member, I could've attended, but to avoid what will likely be a packed park, I'll wait and attend on a weekday later this month.

After more than three years in the making, Longwood Reimagined opens November 22 ... made all the more memorable with the splendor of A Longwood Christmas, also opening November 22. Just imagine amazing new gardens, new glasshouses, new landscapes, and new festive dining all ready to be discovered ... all at the most magical time of year.
It’s a moment—a collection of moments—unlike anything ever experienced at Longwood.
Your new Longwood experience awaits. Feel the magic ... get your tickets now.
