A pretty blonde dupes a bunch of rich old white guys (including Kissinger and George Schultz). Rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars for an invention that doesn't work. It's like "Fyre Festival," only with a lot more money and lawyers. Her attorney David Boies comes off looking like an asshole.
Must-watch TV about a brilliant sociopath who still hasn't admitted she's a liar.
Hero of the story? Wall Street Journal reporter John Carryou, who broke the story. Some heroes are journalists.

(12,051 posts)Carryou wrote a book about Theranos -- it was terrific. She set them all up, and they fell for it. She used to have plain brown hair; she went blonde for the obvious reason. Same thing with the all-black clothing. The fancy office. No tours of the 'lab.' All a big scam!
