I believe McSally will be a US Senator soon.

I believe McSally will be a US Senator soon.

When Senator Kyl* retires, Gov Ducey will appoint McSally as his replacement,
giving Arizona two female senators.

On April 8, 2011, Kyl spoke on the Senate floor and claimed that performing abortions is "well over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does."

A spokesperson for Kyl later claimed the senator's remark "was not intended to be a factual statement but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, an organization that receives millions in taxpayer dollars, does subsidize abortions."

2. Watching Arizona

Rethug Politics for more than twenty years. Arizona seems to be the birthplace of tons of Political Dirty Tricks operations. Just my observation. Now with McSally, this story might have legs. And knowing some of her Backers, all bets are off. The Tea Party(GOP Hate Wing),just took a mega hit here in Nevada, one of their few wins was a dead Pimp whom they will now have a chance to pick one of their own to fill that spot. And that should be a real POS.

Kyle seems to have a History of being a scum bag in Arizona Politics,so your idea could be in the mix.

3. I believe that Ducey appointed Kyl so he can run for Senator in 2020

If he ran this year he would have to give up his Governor job. If he runs in 2020 he can run without any risk.

6. The only real question on the Dem side is "Will Mark Kelly run"
Sat Nov 10, 2018, 12:29 PM

Kelly and Giffords gave an astonishing interview where they both indicated they were open to a Senate run but "not this time" which helped clear the field for Sinema rice in unopposed.

If Mark Kelly runs he Will clear the field.

Woods would love to work for Kelly IMO.

on the GOP side Ducey is the only GOP with any credibility left.

IMO Kelly would win in a landslide but Ducey would still run so he could run against Sinema in 6 years.

4. And that may be why McSally is staying quiet right now

Among some senior Republicans, there is suspicion about why McSally has chosen to hold back. Some are convinced that she’s willing to let the race go and instead hope for an appointment to the state’s other Senate seat. Kyl, who was picked to replace the late Sen. John McCain, has yet to commit to serving for a full term.

9. It could seem strategically odd for McSally to hold back here

She would be holding back for hope - hope that she would be chosen among those crooks, and she is a woman (in a party whose ideology that only when necessary does not put women in leadership positions). She is as dumb as a sack of rocks. The financial support she received for her campaign may have been in response to the women's marches these past couple of years (yes - taking it to the streets works!).

But then again, I don't know how precisely those crooks think, so I could be talking out of the wrong end. I don't mean to disagree with you - I always like your posts.

It is also interesting that Cindy McCain has not remained silent. I bet she would have the easiest time beating Douchey or McSally. Cindy McCain vs Mark Kelly would be an interesting race, although I think Kelly/Giffords winning would change politics in this state for the better beyond just the election. I hope it is at least one of the 1000 cuts it takes to neutralize the NRA and/or their false narratives for winning races. My daughters should not be afraid to go to school or let their guard down while taking tests, or God forbid while they are trying to learn.
