And just as it was gone by the end of the day in Vegas, I'm betting it didn't last the day in Tucson either.

It’s been maybe 10 years since we got accumulation that lasted more than an hour in town. It would be cool to wake up to that but not to drive. Rain means go extra slow, snow means go extra fast.

We actually get a lot more snow than people realize but normally it is well behaved and stays on the mountains.

Central Scottsdale only had the small hail and a lot of rain. Our lakes and reservoirs have been several feet below normal, hope this helps a little. BRING IT ON!

...had a 50 foot base.

That means 50 feet of packed snow, with powder on top.

There were years I went there in the winter & drove on roads that were like driving through canyons of snow, piled several stories high.

I laughed when cities were shut down with 8-10 inches of snow, when Tahoe got 5-6 feet of snow the same day, & they soldiered on.

This has been a great winter...we actually had a winter season here this year. It started cooling off around Halloween and has lasted thru February. Last few years it was still 80-90 on Thanksgiving and we hit high 80’s by Feb. I am very much enjoying it because it will be 110° again soon enough.
