Related: About this forumGolden State Stimulus
I don't file State taxes as I am exempt due to my low income status.
However, this year, I filed via postal service mail along with Federal taxes which I always file because in my case it is a good idea.
I was audited by the Feds this year after I filed with them and they sent me a "notice" stating that what I sent in matched their records so there are no issues with what I filed. Why they audited me is baffling considering how low the household income is!
That said, I was hoping to receive the Golden State Stimulus payment and I filed in early Feb. of this year. The State's website states that I should have received the payment by now if we qualify, which we easily do.
Is anyone here in a similar situation that has received the Golden State stimulus money?
Please let me know.
Thank you.

(4,533 posts)She is not required to file a California tax return but did, because she got a California earned income tax credit for her small self employment income. She gets social security also. She filed around The middle of March.
She got her check for $600 yesterday. Even tho her CA refund had been deposited to her bank account. She had called California FTB a several weeks ago and they told her a range of dates when the check would be mailed. The End of that Range was the end of this month.

(21,068 posts)Or do you know?
I did not. I stopped and printed it out and mailed it.
I do not trust TurboTax and their e-filing system -- too many problems with it IMO.
Thanks for the reply in any event.
Hopefully it will show up soon.
If not, I will call them.

(21,068 posts)If having a taxable income of less than $1500 a year doesn't qualify one for this, it seems little else does.
It was a waste of time being on hold and waiting for a call-back for an hour.
There is nothing in it for my household, that is quite clear.
