DelDOT seeks public input for statewide bicycle policy

DelDOT and the Statewide Bicycle Policy Plan Working Group will seek input from the public about their vision, priorities and preferences regarding bicycling through public workshops and web-based formats.

DelDOT and partners, including the Department of Economic Development /Tourism, the Division of Public Health and Delaware State Policy, are embarking on a planning process that will define a broad vision for bicycling, comprehensively evaluate the opportunities to improve policies, programs and processes that relate to bicycling, then create an action plan to implement the recommendations. Public input will be used to help set the vision and goals for the Statewide Bicycle Policy Plan.

Public workshops will be held:

- 4-7 p.m. Feb. 22, Sussex County Council Chambers, 2 The Circle, Georgetown.

- 4-7 p.m. Feb. 27, Middletown High School Commons, 120 Silver Lake Road.

- 4:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 28, Dover Public Library, 35 E. Loockerman Plaza.

- 4 to 7 p.m. March 1, Wilmington Public Library, 10 E. 10th St.
