The U.S. House debate between incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester and the often-unpredictable Republican outcast Scott Walker had interesting moments Wednesday night, but there were only a few areas of disagreement.

The News Journal recently detailed Walker's long record of court fights during a decade-long career as a landlord in which he raked up hundreds of building code violations and was eventually barred from renting property in the state for 10 years.

Walker also was disavowed by the Delaware Republican Party last month following an explosive Facebook tirade in which he accused the state's top Democratic officials of being racists and referred to feminism as "an assault against people of color."

But he largely remained tame during his time on the University of Delaware stage, often agreeing with Blunt Rochester, who became the first woman and first African-American elected to Congress from Delaware in 2016.
