Herpes-infected Dairy Queen worker arrested for allegedly spitting on Baton Rouge officer's burger

A fast-food worker in Baton Rouge was caught on camera Sunday spitting on the burger of a police officer, police said.

Elijah Johnson, 21, 10115 Ballina Ave., was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Sunday on counts of mingling harmful substances and resisting an officer. His bail was set at $4,000.

A Baton Rouge Police Department lieutenant ordered a burger at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at a Dairy Queen, 3444 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. Before eating, the officer looked at his burger and noticed what looked like spit on the top of his bun.

“The lieutenant stuck his finger into the substance attempting to determine what it was and verified the substance resembled saliva,” according to a police report.

the thing is, this (though I don't know about the frequency of STDs involved) sort of thing happens more often than we would like to know.
