9. I totally get why the anti-secession people are so. I totally understand the "United" part of the

United States. But just to play devil's advocate here...OMG, how much happier we'd all be if we could just get a divorce. No one can accuse us of not trying to make this marriage work, after 200 years of trying.

Just think about how wonderful it would be to NOT have to fight anymore...to have some PEACE. What if we had a national referendum on where to draw the boundary, and then gave everyone two years to relocate while the border crossings are being built, and then shut the goddamn door. Then next time the New Republic of America had a natural disaster, they wouldn't HAVE to accept federal gov't aid, they can have their privatized aid experiment. Then when they come calling for help anyway, we can LOAN it to them, and charge crazy interest.

Plus, think of the medical tourism we could build, from the Republican citizens with no insurance, and crazy expensive medicine. They'd FLOCK over the border to buy their prescriptions, get dental work...

I know, I'm making light. But I'm serious in asking WHY it would be the end of the world if we all DID just go our separate ways. Let them live in that Fox News, hate-filled ignorance and fear-based way of life that they CHOOSE, and we can all carry on with the 21st century.
