Warren campaigns on 'impolite arrogant woman' insult reportedly found in John Kelly's emails
U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, again this week used insults reportedly made against her -- this time from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly -- to rally support around her 2018 re-election campaign.
Hours after BuzzFeed News published emails in which Kelly allegedly called Warren an "impolite arrogant woman," the Massachusetts Democrat urged supporters to help her "fight back against Donald Trump, John Kelly and all the bigoted creeps still strutting and smirking around 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue."
Warren, in a fundraising email entitled "An impolite arrogant woman," offered her recollection of the February 2017 exchange with the then-director of homeland security.
The senator said she spoke with Kelly in an attempt to get answers from the Department of Homeland Security about the Trump administration's travel ban policy, particularly on people being detained at Boston's Logan Airport.
