I just caught part of a Markey ad starring AOC.

If I were undecided, I'd be influenced by her enthusiastic endorsement! I hope the ad plays often.

but I have been wondering why did Kennedy challenge Markey?

5. I Believe Kennedy Feels Entitled

If Kennedy has shown any initiative in Massachusetts’ 4th congressional district in the 4 terms since he succeeded Barney Frank, I (a resident of that district) am unaware of it. Indeed if he had done anything noteworthy, wouldn’t it have shown up in his current tv spots?

In my view Kennedy feels - because one of his great uncles was the President of the U S over a half century ago, another great uncle was a notable and long term Massachusetts Senator, and his grand father was the US Attorney General and a New York senator - that he is “entitled” to the senate seat. (My guess is he views this senate seat as mere stepping stone to the White House.)

6. Who knows. I suspect that he wants the seat. I spent 55 of my 60

living in MA. I've met Joe Kennedy and heard him speak. I like both of them but if I were still there Markey would have my vote.

I like AOC's comments about age & I like that Markey isn't afraid of a younger member of Congress.
