Bobby Harrison at the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal is reporting that state Rep. Jody Steverson, D-Ripley, plans to switch to the Republican Party -- just two days after his re-election as a Democrat.

Steverson has served in the Legislature since 2012, representing District 4 which includes parts of Benton, Tippah and Union counties.
