1. GET REGISTERED
Get registered to vote with your current name, at your current address, by the 30th
day before an election. That means by May 7th for the primary election, and by
October 9th for the general election. You may also register at the polling place on
Election Day.

2. WHAT TO BRING
Make sure you have one of these with your current name to the polls to make sure
your vote counts:
A current photo ID;
Utility bill with current name and address;
Bank statement with current name and address;
Paycheck with current name and address;
Voter confirmation notice with current name and address;
Government check or other government document that shows your name and
current address.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is Tuesday November 6, 2012. Polls in Montana will be
open between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00pm and stay open until 8:00 p.m.

VOTE EARLY OR BY MAIL:Any registered voter may vote by absentee ballot, and no excuse is required.
Applications must be received by the county election office by noon the day before
the election (however, we recommend giving yourself at least a month before the
Election). If you drop off the application in person, you will be able to pick up the
absentee ballot at the same time. Completed ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m.
on Election Day.
